My name is Sarah and I am the founder of Nurture My Nature.  I am a level 3 qualified, fully insured OFSTED registered childminder.  I hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Level 2 Food Hygiene award and many short course certificates including: Safeguarding children; Delivering the EYFS; Supporting Children with speech language and communication needs; An introduction to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder; Supporting children's emotional well-being; Expectations of behaviour; Effective partnership working with fathers; Raising developmental concerns with parents.  I am also currently studying towards my Level 2 award in BSL, A SEND diploma and an ADHD specific diploma to allow my setting to be as inclusive as possible.  Myself and my husband both have clear DBS checks and have signed up to the DBS update service.

My aim is to provide a warm, enabling (and fun!) environment for the children to thrive in, ensuring that they are kept safe, healthy and happy and that every child and parent/carer is made to feel included and welcome.  I strive for excellence in everything I do, and I try to surpass all standards set by the EYFS.  Confidence building is a big theme in everything we do as I believe that this will really benefit the child in their future transition to school

We love the outdoors and nature and incorporate this into our daily routine using my Forest School training.  We go on regular outings to areas where we can enjoy this - some of our favourite places to visit are Walton Hall Gardens, Dunham Massey, Moses Gate Country Park, Pennington Flash etc.  We have large purpose built gardens for the children to play in and use.  Our gardens are split into areas where we can learn and play at the same time.  To name but a few of these areas we have: our veg patches, a fruit area; Bugingham palace (a bug hotel); digger land (a construction/quarry area); our wendy house); and a dinosaur/animal jungle (small world area), a mud kitchen, chalk boards, painting window etc.

I am able to offer full time and part time places with discounts available for 5 days a week children.  I am registered to offer funded places for children aged 2, 3 and 4 who meet the requirements.  I am also able to offer breakfast club and after school club for those children who attend St. Gabriel's Primary School, Higher Fold, Leigh.  Should you require a term time only place or holiday time only care, this can be catered for provided the term dates are in line with those of St. Gabriel's'.  I am also able to offer spaces for children who are home educated and evening babysitting spaces.

Included in our fees are breakfast, lunch, snacks, activity costs and any admission fees and outing costs.

Parents will be kept up to date through daily updates, learning journals and regular newsletters.  Should you be happy for us to do so we can also take lots of photographs for you to show what your child has been doing throughout the day!
